With the development of the test theory, computer adaptive test is also increasing, and its application is more and more widely. However, for the computer adaptive test system, parameter estimation process as a main part of the operation of a computer and need to consume large amounts of CPU resources. Therefore, to organize large-scale computer adaptive testing, often the server of the system has a higher requirements, from the operational performance of the server become one of the factors restricting of test scale. Distributed computing is an increasingly sophisticated computer application technology, the purpose of using this technology is to make full use of network resources, processing needs to be able to handle the task of enormous computing power. When the network interconnection of the computer to work in a distributed manner, so as to cooperate with each other to achieve the goal of the task, often able to achieve good results, which could be a difficult if using a single high performance computer as server. The computer adaptive testing system PowerCAT, which compiled by CAT Laboratory of Guizhou Normal University,, using Service Web technology, to achieve the parameter estimation process of distributed computing. The pressure test shows that the computer adaptive test system with distributed computing technology, which has higher bearing capacity of network, can achieve more large-scale examination.
