This paper aims to explain the importance of the calibration capitalism in the pursuit humansecurity to best serve the achievement of human security and development of the developingcountries which complements the macro-economic level of advancements measured by theneo-liberalist institutions today. This is set in the framework that human security wherein it isbelieved to be the ultimate basis of development by whichthe people attain generallyeconomically secured and where small and medium enterprises together with larger industriesfrom the developing country can truly compete with the developed societies’ people andindustries.Hence, this paper explains the effect of the inherent defects of capitalism throughthe discussion of inequality, competition and exploitation in systemic level of analysis, aswell as discussion on the logic of foreign aid affecting the ability of developing countries toachieve self-help, and discussion of socio-economic insecurity in the world today. Thus, thispaper suggests that the need for reconstruction of the socio-economic structure would be themost viable strategy in order to change the norm of lethargy or incompetency mostly amongthe people in poverty from the developing world.This paper thereforepresents how conceptsof redefined capitalism can better promote human security, peace and development. Byintroducing concepts to promote economic stability such as New Public Management asexemplified by Singapore, Social Business in promoting startup business among youth, andSocial Capitalism by Nobel Peace Prize winner Muhammad Yunus; access to opportunitiesand security becomes more available and achievable therefore, we can be more optimistic inreaching the MDG2015and other complementing goals set to fight poverty and humaninsecurity.
