Research On The Internet Communication Of Army Image In Emergency Rescue And Disaster Relief

The army image is a general impression formed in society and people, consistingof external quality, behavioral expression and inner spirit of the army. It has directbearing on the social judgment and identification in aspect of values, developmenttheories, policies and military operations of an army, and subsequently affects itsexistence and developmental environment. A good image should be depicted by thearmy itself, as well as the media, including network. It is a favorable opportunity tomold the image of mighty force, civilized force and peaceful force led by the Partywhen the army participates in various types of rescue and relief operations.Founded on the classical5Ws theory in dissemination put forward by the famouscommunication scientist H Lasswell, this thesis has studied the army image portrayedin emergency rescue and disaster relief from all directions and multiple angles bycombining natural calamities such as the southern ice and snow disaster, thedestructive earthquakes in Wenchuan and Yushu and the mud-rock flows in Zhouqu,through network communication audience at home and abroad and main body ofnetwork communication such as news reporters, press spokesmen, ordinary people,etc., in the channel of network communication website, instant messaging, onlinecommunity, blog etc., and a matter of network communication content, relativelypositive effect of network communication. On this basis it brings forward thecountermeasures enhancing our military image, which is gathering public mediaexpertise and timely reporting on the brave and tenacious positive information, relyingon the network platform and correctly guiding the social information, and by using avariety of means, strict controlling ill-conceived negative information. We hope toprovide beneficial reference and guidance for the PLA to build excellent image inperforming multiple missions.
