The territorial disputes in Sino-Philippines have directly affected the security andstability in Southeast Asia. Even the disputes have threatened the peace developmentfor Asian-Pacific region. So they are paid more attention. This paper is to analyze theterritorial disputes in Sino-Philippines with the view of “Cooperation Security”, usingthe methods of the interdisciplinary subject crossing international political andhistory.There are four parts in this paper.Part one mainly states relative theories in the view of the “Cooperation Security”.“Cooperation Security” is a new perception of security adapting to the worlddeveloping trend. It is a new method for solving Sino-Philippines’s territorial disputes.China and Philippines both can achieve win-win situation on the basis of cooperation.Part two mainly analyzes the reasons for the disputes with the views ofideology and economic interests basing the the territorial disputes in Sino-Philippines.Thus,“Cooperation Security” is the only way to co-ordinate the two sides and solveconflicts.Part three analyzes the obstacles for establishing “Cooperation Security”dialogue platform between China and Philippines. On one hand, China andPhilippines have their own factors; on the other hand, the intervention from theinternational especially from these countries led the United States and Japan holdingthe argument of “China threat theory” slows down the process of settling disputesbetween China and Philippines.Part four mainly analyzes the path choices to establish “Cooperation Security”mechanism between China and Philippines. This part explains the path choices forSino-Philippines’s peace and development more comprehensive with the view of“Cooperation Security”.The territorial disputes in Sino-Philippines have directly affected the friendshipand friendly exchanges between the both countries. Only mutual respect, equality,mutual benefit, and cooperation dialogue can the two countries achieve mutual trustand win-win situation.
