Research On The Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Democratic Supervision By The DemocraticParties In Yangjiang City

Thedemocratic supervision by the democratic parties is an important part of o ur socialism supervision system, which has unique advantages and functions in the political life of our country. Consolidating this supervision is of great signif icance instrengthening the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, enhancing her governance performance as well as further promoting the political civilizati onconstruction in our country. But as we have witnessed, the improvement of democ ratic supervision’s function is relatively lagging behind, though the participat ion role of the democratic parties has been strengthened constantly. For democrat ic supervision by the democratic parties in China’s political life in practice, t here is still a lot of space for improvement.This paper mainly adopts the method of theoretical and empirical analysis to study the current situation and countermeasures of democratic supervision by the democratic parties in Yangjiang City. After summarizing basic theories, connotat ions, nature and characteristics of democratic supervision by the democratic par ties, the present situation in Yangjiang was analyzed by means of case studies. Th e current problems and their causes were also revealed by means of a combination o f questionnaires and interviews. Furthermore, some proposals were put forward fo r effectively promoting democratic supervision in Yangjiang City from different perspectives of environment optimization, mechanism improvement and self constr uction, etc.
