In this paper, the British public protest history since the19th century as the background.Then it discussed Chartist movement of the19th century,the1926strike and the strike of2011.By analyzed these three representative events,and from a particular angle of theinteractions between protesters and the British government, I combed the developmenttrajectory of public protests since the19th century, and analyzed the evolution of theinteractive mode in the different stages.The article was divided into six parts. The introduction part was the significance of thetopic and the literature review. Chapter II to chapter IV, depicted and analyzed the three majorevents’ backgrounds, processes and interaction modes. Chapter V was the core of full text.This chapter summarized the macro-development regular pattern in Britain since the19thcentury.And from the government side and protesters side, it analyzed the process of theprotest in more detail. From the point of view of the government side, protest interactiveepitomized in three aspects——the policy, law and police. From the point of view of theprotester side, protest interactive epitomized in the three aspects——The protest subject,organization and means. Finally, a brief analysis of the role of the third party in the protest,and the reason why interactive modes shift. The last chapter is the core conclusions of the fulltext, which is very important to the classification of the interactive mode.The historical process of British public protests is very special. Compared with otherEuropean countries, Britain protest politics seemed more compromise and moderation. In aninteractive process, protest parties jointly promoted the development of the protest mode.Thisinteraction has a profound impact on a country’s democratization process. After a longhistorical development, in modern British protest politics, all kinds of social movements hasbecome the theme of the times. More and more social movement forms be incorporated intothe political system, and became the legalization of protest movements.China is now in a period of social transformation, types of mass incidents occuredfrequently. Summarize the experiences and lessons of British protest, It would be extremelyimportant to the development of a harmonious society in China.
