On Marx’s View Of Interest And Its Contemporary Value

Benefit is one of the most frequent words in the classics of Marx. The issue of benefit is an important realistic problem, as well as a serious academic problem. To study basic viewpoints of Marx that concerning benefit, mine their abundant connotations, and properly deal interest relationship and conflict under nowadays socialist market economy condition with standpoint, viewpoint and method in interest’s category of Marx, mobilize each side enthusiasm, to build the socialist harmonious society, is of great theoretical and practical significance.The paper takes Marx’s view of interest as the study object, divided into three parts to discuss it and its contemporary value. The first part studies formation of Marx’s view of interest in time order, arranges it by three periods of initially burgeoning, basically formatted, and maturely developing. The second part digs deep into the basic content of Marx’s view of interest, elaborates its profound connotation in these following three aspects:source and performance of interest, interest as internal motivation for development of human society, and harmonious interest is continuous ideal of human society, therefore, comes out with the conclusion that interest derives from human needs and social division of labor, which shows to be definite social and economic relation and etc. The third part studies contemporary value of Marx’s view of interest, elaborates its contemporary value on theoretical level from three aspects: Marx’s benefit analytical method is great fortune for descendants studying social history, Marx’s benefit thought is the theoretical basis for us to build up proper view of interest, and Marx’s benefit connotation is the reference for our party to formulate the guidelines and policies; and elaborates its contemporary value on realistic level from its guiding significance for the socialist market economy construction, socialist democracy construction, and harmonious socialist society construction these three aspects.
