A Study On The Interest Expression Balances Of The Social Classes In China, Under The Background Of Social Differentiation

As the rapid development of the economy, we have entered the era of interests, socialstructure is also experiencing the differentiation. Our life is being changed by the eraof interests. The most important principle at present is to respect the interests.However, due to the unbalanced interest distribution, the social conflicts andproblems is becoming more obviously. This study analyzes interest expression fromthe perspective of social class differentiation and social interest structure’s changes,and suggests the imbalances of interest expression is mainly due to the differentdevelopment levels of social groups, imperfect of interest expression mechanism, andthe emerge of non-institutionalized and illegal behavior on interest expression. Socialclass differentiation is leading to the diversities of interests. With the modernization,the degree of interest differentiations is now in the change phase, as well as theimprovements of the mechanism on coordinating the interest conflicts.However, the society with interest differentiations would not become stagnating,instead, interest differentiations and the interest conflicts would be a driver of societydevelopment. Interest differentiation is an important aspect of social differentiation.The interests of the public vary with their social position, economic status, familybackground etc. Moreover, the ability on interest expression of different social groupsis depending on their social resources, which leads interest conflicts occurringconstantly. Currently in China, the social differentiationmainly arises between the upper class and the lower class-the upper class becomemore powerful by their advantages, while the situation of the lower class gets harder,as their interests could not be achieved due to their inferior social factors. As people’sawareness to protect rights become more enhanced, the lower class is unwilling to beat the bottom, thus their conflicts with the upper class grow larger and larger, whichleads interest conflicts occurring constantly.In summary, to realize the balanced interest expression among each social class inChina, there is a need to improve the mechanism of the interests of the existingexpression gradually, To realize the construction of the political institutionalization, to broaden the channel of interest expression, and guarantee the fully performance thatthe rights’ expression of the interest on all classes, to offer them the equal opportunityof appealing; to mitigate the conflicts between different groups, and to enlarge theproportion of middle-income group in social structure. The government needs takesmeasures to cultivate people’s ability of self-governance; continue to promote thesocial self-governance, develop the social organizations, achieve the maximuminterest expression, and protect the rights of all members in the society. As a result,the social conflicts could be eased, and the occurrences of the mass incidents could bereduced. Moreover, the measures also have important significance to promote socialharmony and development.
