Dong Biwu was one of the founders of the communist party of China, one of theprimary leaders of the country, a great Marxist, proletarian revolutionist and jurist. Hewas born in an age of a semi-colonial and semi-feudal society. The darkness of LateQing dynasty enhanced his awareness of unexpected development towards the peopleand the country, urged him to pursue new knowledge and ideas. Eventually, he becamean unflinching Marxist. Through teaching and publishing, Dong Biwu publicized therevolutionary thoughts and disseminated Marxism among the broad masses of workersand peasants. He not only organized the early stage of the Construction of theCommunist Party in Wuhan, but also attended the “1st Congress”. He spent a longtime of cogitation and exploration on the construction of the Party. He had a profoundknowledge of Party building ideology, organizational building, improvement of theParty’s work style and the relations between Party-masses, Party and government. Heproposed very systematic opinions, the ideological connotations of which is extremelydeep and has salient features. Dong biwu’s idea about the construction of the partyestablished his indelible historical role during the course of the integration of Marxisminto Chinese practice, had a directive function in today’s construction of party’sadvancement, purity and ability of administration, had a realistic meaning to thepopularization of Marxism, boost to our socialist ideological and ethical progress,construction of the socialism with Chinese characteristics.
