On Arendt’s Thought Of Republic

Hannah Arendt is a thinker who has a lot of originality．Her thought prompted theresources of republican theory due to her social experience and characteristics of thetimes．The aim of this paper is to investigate the achievements of Arendt’s theory ofrepublic and evaluating the value of republic basic on development of the characteristicsofArendt’s republican theory．Arendt showed the public of politics to the plural people who are equal and free．The internal logic of her thought is that people can construct new effects of powerthough building mutual network by political action．According to the author，Arendt’sthought of republic is not only a kind of reflection on the republic but also promotingrepublican theory．Because of her sense of loss with political reality，Arendt hoped tokeep freedom of action and limited government，as well general profit of politics andthe connotation of beginning of political education which indicate clearly her standpointof communal participation and social cooperation that these opinions were fitting thecommon characteristics of modern society．The detachment between philosophy andaction gave rise to many questions that ethical tragedy also from this，Arendt’s effortreturn to the condition about the chase of political net nature．In Arendt’s opinion，people’s participation in public affairs is not to discover the truth or seek materialbenefits but the feeling of reciprocity and particular dignity．According to author，thisapproach reveals the political value of spiritual life and throughout her fundamentalinsights on construction of republic that is the appearance of humanity constitutes theprerequisites of republic．Additionally，she established the political concept about firstway of life when she was to investigate political philosophy of Marx，which boosted thedevelopment of modern politics．In fact， Arendt’s though of republic have many limitations. According to theauthor，the fundamental reason is that Arendt’s political concept would be a political republicanism which excludes individual demand but for the significance of people’sappearance．Without a doubt，Arendt’s though of republic gives us caution that politicswill never be out of people’s fundamental existence，such as communal coordinationamong law and political power and regime as well as political legitimacy andjustification are very important．Her political thought about political public area and theconstruction of political society give us enlightenment deeply that we should improvethe channels of political participation and practice of political commitment．This theorycan lead us to build a harmonious society and livelihood-oriented government in thecurrent，and this theory hit the central proposition of this times．...
