A Study Of Vulnerable Groups’Political Participation In China During The Period Of Social Transition

At present, our country is in the period of social transition,which is in the process of the modernization.The differentiation of social interests makes the significant growth of vulnerable group members and the problems related to them has become an important aspect which influences social stability and development. Among them, the problem of the political participation of vulnerable groups is particularly prominent. Therefore, it’s imperative to strengthen and improve the political participation of the vulnerable groups. Studying and discussing the problem of vulnerable groups’political participation during the transitional period of in our country systematically, will not only promote the improvement of the related theory, then further the study of vulnerable groups to some extent, but also will provide the solution to the difficulties that exist in the process of their political participation.lt has realistic significance to ease social contradictions and maintain social stability.This article tries to learn from academic research results and uses the methods of literature research, the multidisciplinary crossover study to comb the political participation of vulnerable groups in our country at present, in order to grasp the present situation of the political participation of vulnerable groups in our country as a whole,then analyzes several factors which limit it and puts forward the countermeasures to strengthen and improve the political participation of vulnerable groups during the transitional period.The thesis mainly consists of five parts:Part Ⅰ:Introduction. This part elaborates the research background,the significance of the research,the research status,the research methods and possible innovations during the process of writing.Part Ⅱ:"An overview of the the political participation of vulnerable groups during the transitional period". This part defines the basic concepts such as "transition","vulnerable groups ","political participation"and so on, and clarifies the meaning of the orderly political participation of vulnerable groups in our country during the transitional period and the negative impacts brought by the non-institutionalized political participation of vulnerable groups.Part Ⅲ:"The current situation of the the political participation of vulnerable groups during the transitional period".This part describes the present condition of the political participation of vulnerable groups in China, then points out the great progress and the problems which still exist. PartIV:"The restricting factors of the the political participation of vulnerable groups during the transitional period". This part lists various subjective and objective factors that limited the political participation of vulnerable groups in China, including their low economic status, the lack of related systems, the backward political culture and so on.Part Ⅴ:"Strengthening and improving measures in political participation of China’s vulnerable groups during the transitional period". This part puts forward to the concrete countermeasures to strengthen and improve the political participation of vulnerable groups in China from six channels based on the analysis of the restricting factors,including developing the socialist market economy,building a service-oriented government at the grass-roots level,establishing and improving the related system, improving the legal system of socialist and so on.
