Study On Hu Jintao’s Humanism Thought

Hu Jintao’s humanism thought, which derives from the guidance of Marxist thought and absorbs theoutstanding achievements of western humanism thought, is the succession of core humanism thought fromthe last three generations of the Party’s leadership and forms from the great practice of constructingsocialism with Chinese characteristics in a new stage of the new period. Its content is mainly composed ofsix parts, including human’s viewpoints on individual, value, power, humanistic concern, the harmoniousdevelopment and human quality. It can be said that it is a kind of humanism thought which concerns aboutthe items about the real human survival situation and development conditions; a kind of humanism thoughtwhich is based on laws of social development and the reality-based material conditions; a kind ofharmonious humanism thought which attaches importance to the humane care and psychologicalcounseling; a kind of humanism thought on value of building the socialist core value system; a kind ofhumanism thought which focuses on the generation of practice. In ideology, this kind of humanism thoughtreflects the new development concept of being “people-oriented”; in the formation route, it has rigorouslogicality and scientificity; in the practical function, it has strong scientificity and guidance, importanttheoretical value and distinctive characteristics of the times. Thus, under this thought, people’s survival anddevelopment issue can be studied from the relationship between man and nature; people’s core status canbe established from the scientific outlook of development; a harmonious development outlook can bedrawn from building the harmonious society; the core values of people can be fostered from the culturalconstruction, all these mark a new development of Marxist humanism in the contemporary historicalcontext and they are the latest achievements of localization of Marxism humanism thought in China. HuJintao’s humanism thought not only has the significance to promote the civilization quality of the Chinesenation and the degree of social civilization, but also has the value of the times to facilitate the realization ofthe Chinese dream.
