The Research On The Cultural Function Of Chinese Marxism

Since Marxism has been introduced to China, it continuously combined withChina’s specific reality, deeply rooted in Chinese culture soil, to achieve thelocalization of Marxism and the sinicization of Marxism, informed the ChineseMarxism. Chinese Marxism is not only a scientific theoretical system that guide theChinese practice of socialism to achieve brilliant achievements; but also is anadvanced culture, the ideology has played a lead, values-driven and spiritual role ofincentives in the revolution, construction and reform practice in China, meet thespiritual and cultural needs of the Chinese people, has been widely recognized andaccepted by the society.This article from the cultural aspects to study Chinese Marxism’s value attributesand cultural function study, explored that the Chinese Marxism has cultural cognitivefunction, include the proletarian party development, the socialism development andthe human social development; has dominant culture-oriented function of leadingsocial ideas, promoting media development and controlling social values; has culturalintegration of political ideologies, various cultural forms and socialist values; and thepromotion of social psychological identity, cohesion and cultural cohesion spiritualpower function.It follows that, in the current major development, major changes in transition, weshould endeavor to explore the path of the Chinese Marxism cultural functions. First,we should carry forward the fine Chinese traditional culture, absorbed from theadvanced achievements of human civilization, based on the practice of socialism withChinese characteristics, to rich cultural connotation of Chinese Marxism. Second, weshould strengthen the construction of socialist core value system, foster socialist corevalues, to build value orientation of Chinese Marxism. Finally, cultural awareness,cultural self-confidence, cultural self-strengthen, to enhance the culture soft power ofcultural Marxism, to push Chinese Marxism into the world.Only that way, can enhance the attractiveness, cohesiveness and appeal ofChinese Marxism, unite people power, inspire national spirit, and ultimately made thegreat Chinese dream of national prosperity, revitalization and happiness of the peoplecome ture.
