With the basic assumption that there is a dilemma faced with the relative power in process of an asymmetric interaction, the study tries to give a powerful demonstration that the disputes in South China Sea between China and other countries show the characteristics of an asymmetric interaction in which China has been being indulged in a dilemma for years because of the disadvantages of a power relatively and her own peculiarity. With this logic, this paper will give an analysis to China’s policy on the issue of South China Sea which is influenced by the dilemma.
