A Study On Employee Selection For Legal Research Department In Senate Of Cambodia

All over the world, many developed and developing countries have been payingattention to human resources. The countries which are developing so fast require theirqualified sufficient human resources so that they can make any remarkable breakthroughsfor the country development. Presently, Cambodia’s ministries and other institutions havealso focusing on the staff recruitment work of the government’s civil servants. Forinstance, Cambodia’s Senate consists of the Legal Research Department (LRD) that hasbeen working on the provision of capacity building for the relevant institutions inaccordance with the current trend of globalization both regionally and worldwide.This study on the staff recruitment is so critical in relation with the current tasksthe institutions have been implementing. This study is aimed at reflecting the relationshipbetween the theories and the actual implementation of the institution. The methods of thedata collection in this study comprise the secondary data and the interviews with the chiefsand deputy chiefs of the Legal Research Department (LRD) and any other officials aboutthe process of the staff recruitment for the Legal Research Department (LRD) and theprocedures of the staff recruitment for the General Secretariat of the Senate. Therefore, thestaff recruitment is so essential for all institutions and organizations so that they areequipped with qualified staff for the institution and organization development pursuant tothe development of the country and following the developed countries worldwide.
