Since the reform and opening up, China’s rapid development of philanthropy has made great progress. As one of the main charitable subjects, China’s entrepreneurs have access to career success, at the same time, their charity awareness constantly awake, making tremendous contributions to the development of philanthropy. In the southeast coast of China, there is such a group of philanthropists, entrepreneurs from Quanzhou have economic strength, they have less economic strength than other entrepreneurs from other provinces, but they are actively involved in charity and voluntarily donated money, becoming the main force of Fujian’s philanthropy. According to the reasons why the entrepreneurs do charity, many domestic and foreign scholars have discussed aspectcs from religious of sociology, political, economics and entrepreneurs social responsibility, but in religion-developed Quanzhou area, few scholars discussed aspectcs from traditional religious faith and Western Christian faith together, this paper will analyze whether the entrepreneurs in Quanzhou are faith-based or not and based on what kind of faith to do charity from the aspect of faith.This paper is under the guidance of sociology of religion, adopting quantitative research and qualitative research method, through cultural case, questionnaires and interviews to collect data, using SPSS statistical software for data collection and analysis. The paper draws the main following conclusions:traditional religious culture, home environment and community environment have profound impact on the entrepreneurs from Quanzhou. Entrepreneurs from Quanzhou have a positive attitude toward religion and most of them have faith in traditions religion, less in Christianity faith. Through the study on worship behavior and participative behavior, we find that entrepreneurs of traditional religious are not strong to the religion which they think they are belonging to, but many Christian entrepreneurs have a strong sense of belonging and practice more in religion. Quanzhou entrepreneurs have a good social foundation of charity (community religious benefit), ritual donation and religious donation are developing on this basis with local characteristics. Most of them have a strong sense of participating in donating, they donated more to religious institutions than the clan hall, charitable donation behaviour of entrepreneurs becomes standardization through the help of Charity Foundation and under the guidance of the government. Through cross-analysis and Mann-Whitney U test, Whether they have faith or not, which kind of faith they have all don’t have effects on clan hall, but they affect differently on the frequencies and degree of donation on religious institutions and Charity Federation:entrepreneurs who have faith donated more to the religious institutions and Quanzhou’s Charity Federation than those without faith, entrepreneurs in traditional religion donated more to religious institutions and Quanzhou’s Charity Federation than the entrepreneurs who have faith in Christianity, more traditional-religious entrepreneurs choose to make a donation in religious festivals while the Christian-faith entrepreneurs choose to donate in the usual.
