Sino-US relations is one of the world’s most important bilateral relationship, its devel opment trends has an important impact on the Asia-Pacific region and international order. Currently,Sino-US relations is getting more complex in the procedure of continuous develo pment.In order to avoid vicious competition between China and the US and build a health y Sino-US relations, China has proposed to build a new model of major power relationshi p with the US.Under the new model of major power relationship,Cnina and the US will h ave no conflict or confrontation,achieve mutual respect and win-win cooperation.My paper is divided into four chapters:Chapter one is about the background of why China want to build a new model of major power relationship with the US,the second chapter is mainly about the content of a new model of major power relationship between China and the U S,the third chapter is focusing on the obstacles of building a new model of major power relationship between China and the US,the fourth chapter is talking about the measures.According to my paper,a new model of major power relationship between China and the US can be expected,therefore, we should focus on the the main obstacles during the building procedure and figure out how to deal with the obstacles.The key point of my pa per is that the main obstacles of building a new model of major power relationship betwe en China and the US are structural contradictions between China and the US and Americ a’s doubts about building a new model of major power relationship with China.In order to build a new model of major power relationship between China and the US,effective meas ures should be used to ease the structural pressure,enhance the mutual trust between China and the US, promote China’s national image.
