Throughout the history of the Chinese family, in recent decades, with the development of social mobility and the rise of the market economy, China’s relatives is also become loose and unstable, and people lost their traditional support from family and clan relation network, so it is necessary to think about the impact of the individualized trend of relatives on the spiritual support for seniors, and how to reduce the risk of their spiritual support. In the researching process of the family relationships and elderly spiritual support in ZhangMan village, the author mainly adopts the literature research, in-depth interviews, participant observation and other methods. The author first with the existing literature review in academia, to find theoretical support for the relation between family relations changes and the elderly spiritual support, then get the data through the ZhangMan Village field investigation, and form the case through interviews and participant observation, then we can analyse the case so as to demonstrate the individualized development trend of modern family relationships and its influence on the elderly spiritual support. After sorting out the developing status of rural relationship, we can find that in the contemporary society, the individual who is influenced by gender, family, clan and other structural strength in traditional society is more and more active, and the family kinship become more independent, practical and selectivity. Young couples family relationships beyond the parent-child relationship as main shaft, the relationship is no longer destined to constant, and the freedom to choose partners become a principle, these changes are the individual performance of rural relatives, at the same time, old people who were accustomed to the tradition lost the traditional authority and status, their spiritual support from relatives is also added more uncertainty, so the individualized trend of kinship, to a certain extent, also encouraged the elderly spiritual support more depends on the confidence in the system, policy, and towards the mode of spiritual suppor that can develop and maintain the old people’s subjectivity and initiative.
