The Research On The Spiritual Support Problem Of Empty Nesters In The City

With the further deepening of reform and opening up, living standards gradually have improved, material support of the elderly has been greatly improved. However, the elderly pension emergence new problems, spiritual support issues become increasingly prominent, empty nesters’living conditions have some restricted, they face the spiritual support issues more severely. Our country has gradually realized the spiritual support of older persons,"often go home" has been written into law. Driven by the new Law on the Protection of the elderly, our country has made some progress in solving the issue of the elderly spiritual support, however, some problems still remain, how to help the elderly spiritual support, it’s a problem in the developing of our society. As our country population aging, the empty nesters are growing, the elderly spiritual support problems will also become our country old working emphasis and difficulty in the future.The theme of this research is the empty nesters spiritual support issues in the city. The paper regards social support theory and hierarchy of needs theory as the theoretical support, and mainly used qualitative research methods. The background of the study is the F community in jinan. In order to obtain first-hand interview material, the study selected the empty nesters, community workers and social workers as the investigation object. Through analysisng and summarizing the data, the paper describes the empty nesters spiritual lifes’demand conditions and supply situations, through analyzing the empty nesters spiritual lifes’demand conditions and supply situations, and put forward the empty nesters problems of spiritual support of the F community, such as the lack of adequate children care, the low of the elderly social participation, the inadequate of community infrastructure, the weak of social work profession, the insufficient of social awareness, and put forward some suggestions based on some problems in some aspects. From the individual level, this paper would help to improve empty nesters spiritual support issues’upgrade and improve. From the macro level, empty nesters spiritual support issues have some difference in each region, but there are some things in common, it can provide a reference for solving empty nesters spiritual support issues in else regions.
