Analysis On Trial Data And Case Of Larceny In Xiushan Autonomous County

Larceny has been the most common crime since ancient time, and is the most typical property crime which accounts for the largest proportion of the total crimes. Following the modifications to the provisions regarding larceny in the Amendment 8 to the Criminal Law which is effective as of May 1, 2011, the Supreme Court and the Supreme Procuratorate jointly issued the Explanation on Relevant Issues in Trial of Larceny in 2013, which indicates that relevant adjustment has been made to the legislation of larceny under the circumstance that larceny evolves as the society and economy develops. Though renewed provisions have been adopted in such Amendment and Explanation according to the development and regional diversity of larceny, there still exists a huge hysteresis therein. In order to make relevant provisions better fit the current society, it will be helpful for us to reveal the trend of change of larceny within a certain area on the basis of the regional characters as well as better fight and take precautions against larceny by conducting empirical statistical analysis basing on such regional data. Thus, I wish that I can reveal the circumstance and trend of larceny as well as the processing of larceny in judicial activities in recent years by focusing on larceny in a small area within a few years.
