The Digital Research On The Trace Inspection

Trace plays a significant role in criminal technology work owing to its features f or pervasiveness, objectivity, close relation with actus reus and intuitive at crime seen es. The analysis and study of the trace can help to determine the process and details of crime committing, provide direction and clues for detective work, provide the reliable basis for putting on file for investigation, provide important material evidence for rev ealing and proving a crime and a criminal, and provide clues and evidence for detectin g criminal cases by archiving and storing. Because of its low accuracy and poor effici ency, the traditional trace examination technology no longer adapt to current criminal situation which is complicated and intelligent, so the traditional trace examination tec hnology need innovation.The introduction of digital technology into the trace examination technology realizes the digitization of trace examination procedure, which improves work efficiency and precision rate, provides a solution for new problems appear in criminal detection work and adapts to the change of criminal situation. In this paper, focusing on the digitized trace, we introduce the digitized process acquisition traces first, and then introduce some image processing technologies, such as geometric transformation, image enhancement, image restoration and image compression, these image processing technologies provide basis for follow-up work, finally describes the digitization progress of the establishment and management of the traces file.Based on the summary of the development of digital trace examination technology, this paper is expected to provide basis for the follow-up development of trace examination technology, and further promote the development process of digitization in trace examination technology, do a pygmy effort for helping trace examination technology to play a greater role in criminal detection work.
