The thesis focuses on the religious charities NGOs, the role they play in modern societies, specifically on the use of social capital concept. Based on the religious charity C as the research object, it reveals the development of religious charities to achieve its development with its unique social capital. Namely religious as a kind of social capital, how does the religion charm and social network affect the charity fundraising and mobilization. Through long time participant observation and in-depth interview, on one hand, the study found that religion as a social capital in the model society, which is different from traditional acquaintance society. Religion form a cohesive social network, it can provide a boost for initial trust and reciprocity mechanism, help to exchange private information between members, enhance members mutual trust and reciprocity, plays the most important role in the fundraising and volunteer recruitment. At the same time, in this cohesive network, religious belief is able to further highlight the charm. The identical religion has become an important criterion to identify cohesive network homogeneity, strengthened the members of intimacy and trusts between each other, many contradictions desalination, effectively improve the efficiency of the organization. On the other hand, through fundraising and volunteer recruitment, religious charities expand the range of the network communication; make it easier to access the heterogeneous information. Two types of network complement each other, effectively improving the religious charity fundraising and mobilization ability.
