Research On Mao Zedong Thought Of "Three Rural Issues " After The Founding Of PRC

Whether past or present, the issue of agriculture, farmer and rural area has always beenpaid attention by the Chinese Party of China. After the new China founded, Mao Zedong, asthe core of the Party’s first generation leadership group, increasingly attaches greatimportance to the issue of agriculture, rural areas and farmers. It will provide much beneficialenlightenment to guide the construction of new countryside by carefully studying MaoZedong agriculture thought after the new China. Firstly, the essay discusses the origin ofMAO Zedong thought about agriculture, farmer and rural area including the Marxist classicalwriters’ agriculture theory and the agriculture thought of Chinese traditional culture, etc.Secondly, this paper discusses the main content of MAO Zedong theory about agriculture,rural areas and farmers after the foundation of new China, which contains agriculturalcooperatives, agricultural modernization, construction of the people’s commune, and benefitsafeguard of farmers. Thirdly, this paper discusses the historical limitations of MAO Zedongthought on agriculture, farmer and rural area, historical contribution and contemporaryenlightenment. MAO Zedong theory about agriculture, rural areas and farmers has greatsignificance for solving the problem of agriculture, rural areas and farmers in China.Nevertheless, while sorting out historical contribution of MAO Zedong thought onagriculture, farmer and rural area, we should also see its historical limitations, including toomuch emphasis on the reaction of the production relations to productive forces, man’ssubjective initiative initiative, egalitarianism allocation, Political dominant economic, etc.Whatever it is experience or lessons, MAO Zedong thought on agriculture, farmer and ruralarea is so valuable for solving the agriculture problem of our country. In particular, theagriculture problem is still the basic problems of the construction of the socialism withChinese characteristics. It is necessary to fully respect the objective law, persevere inpeople-oriented policy for solution of the agriculture problem to earnestly safeguard farmers’interests, to strengthen the agricultural foundation status, to promote the agriculturalmodernization, to promote urban and rural integration, and to speed up the construction ofnew socialist countryside.
