The Internet has changed the traditional way that people acquire knowledge. The method, speed and frequency of the copy of information and knowledge dissemination present differently from the real life. The Internet has offered people with unprecedented thinking and living space. However, intellectual property as well as the yield, application, transaction and legal protection, etc. of interests, have gone beyond the capacity of the traditional intellectual property law. Whether to transplant the existing intellectual property model into the cyber world, or reform the traditional intellectual system to adapt to the Internet culture in order to create a mutual benefiting cultural and technical production model has become an important issue. In this paper, by analyzing different perspectives in terms of intellectual property of researchers worldwide, the author pointed out the different structures of cyberspace and real space, as well as the new intellectual product under the Internet environment; the author also summarized the current situation of the Internet intellectual property and existing issues. The author also advocated learning from the advanced experience from other countries. Furthermore, concerning the nature and characteristics of the Internet, the author put forward her own views on the Internet intellectual property from the perspective of the public resources, and advocated to create a new model of intellectual property system and to reform the existing intellectual property system properly.
