As one of the specialfields connecting closely with our life, there is also the same problem that how to protect theprivate information in the activities of public medical and health work. Diseases cure, medicalresearch and teaching activities all these need citizens to provide their personal information,and all the information forms the basic concept of suffers’ medical information. In thecircumstances of administering a country by adhering to the law, the legal status of privateinformation promotes rapidly and the protection for private information will emerge as thetimes require. However, nowadays our country has no laws and regulations related to theprotection of private information. Particularly, we have no approaches to protect suffers’medical information. On the other hand, the protection measures and regulations for suffers’medical information are being improved in the other countries, and these regulations areexecuted well by some special mechanism, which has great significance for us to constructour mechanism of protecting suffers’ medical information. With analyzing the problems onhow to protect suffers’ medical information and combining the foreign advanced experienceand measures, this thesis puts forward a few of suggestions so as to discuss wholly and settlethe legal protection problems of suffers’ medical information. The thesis can be divided intofour parts except for the forwards and the conclusion:First part introduces the outline of sufferers’ medical information. At the beginning ofthis part, a brief account of sufferers’ medical information will be given, next several conceptsrelated with sufferers’ medical information were analyzed by making a contrast. Lastly, theauthor delimits the content and characteristics of the sufferers’ medical information.Second part introduces the current situation analysis about the protection of sufferers’medical information in the activities of public medical and health work in our country. Thispart gives a summation and analysis about the phenomenon of using illegally the sufferers’medical information, and draws a conclusion that the effective government measures andmechanism are deficient to protect sufferers’ medical information, which sets off introducingthe foreign advanced experience and measures in next part of the thesis.Third part introduces the experience and enlightenment which foreign legal protection regulations of sufferers’ medical information give to our country. This part analyses theforeign advanced experience in protecting sufferers’ medical information and aims at givingthe solutions to the problems that the protection for sufferers’ medical information is deficient.Fourth part puts forward several protection measures for the issue that the protection ofsufferers’ medical information is unsatisfied. This part puts forward several protectionmeasures which conforms to the reality of our country and aims at strengthening theprotection of sufferers’ medical information, which by studying and analyzing foreignprotection mechanism.
