In recent years, with the advance of harmonious judicial concept, criminalreconciliation, as one of the criminal judical modes, has gradually got recognized andwidely used in practice. Criminal reconciliation has great advantage over the traditionalsolution to criminal disputes. Before the introduction of the new Criminal Procedure Lawin2012, for a long period of time, there is legislation vacancy concerning the regulation ofthe criminal reconciliation range in public prosecution cases in the criminal reconciliationsystem in the legal field in our country. However, compared to the judical practice, thecriminal reconciliation range stipulation in the new Criminal Procedure Law of2012seemsto be quite prudential and conservative. In the judical practice, there have been examples ofcriminal reconciliation in felony cases in certain parts of our country. This essay is topropose the application of criminal reconciliation in the felony cases on the basis of statusquo of the application of criminal reconciliation and justification of the application ofcriminal reconciliation in the felony cases.
