Research On The Providing Mode Of Legal Aid

With the advancement of Modern government by law process, legal aid system hasbeen a key reference in measuring a country’s social civilization degree and an importantsymbol of reflecting the national legal system. Since the implementation of the legal aidsystem in China, it has played an active rule in maintaining fairness and justice, andsafeguarding the social stability. But there is no explicit definition of provision mode bothin the Regulations of Legal Aid System which was enacted by the State Council and theRegulations on Legal Aid which was made by Jiangsu province. And, provision mode hasmany different ways of operation in practice. The article first compares and analysis themode of provision in western countries which have developed the legal aid system. Then,the article makes a preliminary discussion of provision mode of legal aid in China based onpractice. Finally, it points that our provision mode of legal aid should separate themanagement and transaction to strengthen the management and supervision of legal aidcases and improve the quality of case handling.
