Historically, the Labrang region is the Tibetan Buddhist and cultural centre of Amdo region, including Qinghai, parts of Sichuan and most of parts of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous prefecture of Gansu Province. Since entering the Republic period, the Labrang region entered a slow path of modernize. At this point the the power of Labrang monastic caesaropapism was much more consolidated and progressed, becoming the the largest monastic establishment in the traditional Amdo Tibetan region of Gansu. Qinghai, and Sichuan. The Labrang as region where predominantly Tibetan and then Hui, Han, Mongolian, Mongol gathering place, going through the complex political landscape of Republican period, in the crevice of power struggle of the central government, it effectively gathered the social resources of caesaropapisam. To a certain extent led political stability of the region. During the this period trend towards a regions with diverse ethnic groups were formed and the ethnic relationship were relatively in harmony.Explaining the interaction and relationship between ethnic groups and discussing cultural elements generated from diverse ethnicities, and summarizing the historical lessons may help to facilitate and promote new type of ethnic relationship and development.
