Political beliefs include the content of the two aspects of theory and operation, which is a kind of spirit that people in specific society or nation take as their code of conduct on the basis of agreeing with, convincing, and respecting some socially political systems and theories. Political beliefs reflect the position and the role of the individuals, groups or classes in the socially political and economic structure, and express people’s understanding of socially ideal model and ultimate concern for political life, they are the dialectical unification of reality and ideal. The political beliefs of Chinese Communists are the Marxist beliefs or the communism beliefs, which is a kind of realism faith aiming to realize people’s free and all-round development based on opposing religious belief and private ownership. The beliefs in Marxist, socialism and communism, which is the political soul of Communist Party, are the spiritual pillar of the communists to withstand any test. The Marxist beliefs of Chinese Communists in the new democratic revolution period perform as revolutionary beliefs. The revolutionary beliefs encourage people to struggle for the realization of national independence and people’s liberation. The Chinese communist party is the realistic carrier of spreading the Marxist beliefs in China, and the process of theory innovation of Chinese communists is the process of spreading the Marxist beliefs in China. This thesis analyzes the changes of the main body of Chinese Communists in the different development stages of the new democratic revolution period chronologically. It investigates the chances and developments of the political cognition and beliefs of different classes and groups, including the intellectuals, workers, farmers, soldiers and so on in the survival background. And this thesis also illustrates the important role of the ideological and theoretical construction of Chinese Communist Party. The initial motivation in the selection of the political beliefs is different from groups or classes, but taking few personal interests as the goal of political motivation is the primary factor of Marxist political beliefs. The operation of the political belief is the result of the mutual influence of the faith mechanism and the doubt mechanism, so individuals or groups tend to be in faith crisis if their cognition of political beliefs only stays on the stage of perceptual knowledge. And people’s cognition can transform form perceptual knowledge into rational knowledge only through repeated practice and learning.Arming the whole party with the proletarian ideology, with insisting on the principle of party spirit of seeking truth from facts and the Marxism guiding ideology, is the theoretical character of the political beliefs of Chinese Communists. Ideological and political work is the lifeline of the Marxist beliefs. To guarantee the correct guidance of Marxist beliefs, we must strengthen the propaganda and education work of party’s ideological theory.A new-democratic revolution or a proletarian liberation movement has fully proved this point that setting up political beliefs of communists has the important historical significance. Under the new situation, if Chinese Communists want to shoulder the burden of national revitalization, they must use the Marxist beliefs to solidify people, leading Chinese people of all ethnic groups towards the final goal with great braveries, and creating the brilliant prospects of the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics.
