At present, China’s population aging situation is very serious. Properly dealing with the aging problem not only is related to the living quality of the elderly population in later life and the stability of harmonious family relationships, also is the important content of building a harmonious society, marking the progress of social civilization. Family endowment functions are weakening, the elderly demand growing and diversified gradually. Pension problems need to be solved and have caused the party and the government attaching great importance to. Thus continuously perfecting endowment service system, speeding up development of pension services, also increasing spending on pension service practice.This research adopts qualitative research method to study the living conditions of the elderly in older communities, and this article takes nine old people in H community, C street, Xicheng District, Beijing as the research object, to conduct in-depth interviews. This research starts from the perspective of the ecological system theory. Studying the situations of the aged in older communities from individual, family and community level, and the main contents involve the day-to-day care, dwelling condition, physical condition, psychological status, social status, economic conditions and the condition of the community environment. Then analyze current need satisfaction level of the elderly in older residential communities according to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Finally, discuss the service strategy aimed at improving living conditions and need satisfaction of the elderly in older communities from the perspective of community care.Through the study, the perception and satisfaction of the elderly in older communities about current living conditions is more influenced by their expectation of life. In general, the oldest old’s life expectation is low and their satisfaction level of current life is higher, the young old on the contrary. The height of old people’s rights consciousness affect its understanding and acceptance of the elderly service, thus affecting the elderly service carried out; The elderly in older communities still have various unmet needs such as health care, psychological comfort, social interaction, economic security. Based on this, the author puts forward relative research suggestions from the perspective of social work: Firstly, advocating the improvement of the pension policy, clear and definite the main task of relevant government departments, social organizations and relevant personal; Secondly, building support network about the elderly, mobilize various forces to participation in mutual-support; Finally, social worker conduct case counseling with professional skill, and promote the improvement of personal mental health and family relationships.
