| Political leadership of Athens during the democratic period hasbeen a focus of academic research and discussion.There is no doubtthat during the period of Athenian democracy, people control thehighest decision-making power. In this case, how do political leadersobtain the political leadership, how about are their living conditionsunder this political environment and what is the relationship betweenthe political leadership gained by these political leaders and thesupreme governing dominion. All above issues will be mainlydiscussed in this thesis.This thesis consists of introduction, body and conclusion. In theintroduction part, main concepts to be mentioned will be defined.Besides, theoretical and practical significance of the topic andliterature reviews at home and abroad will be introduced. In the bodyof the thesis, firstly, the realization of political leadership during theperiod of Athenian democracy and its constitution will be discussed.Secondly, the situation that those political leaders, including orators and military leaders, are faced with in this period will be expounded.Thirdly, it is about the detailed analysis of the changes in the politicalleadership during this period and the reasons for its changes. Basedon the word speeches made by some orators, like Demosthenes andAeschines and relevant facts, the author will expound the politicalleadership during the period of Athenian democracy as detailedly aspossible. Even this, this issue still remains to be researched muchfurther. |
