The victory of the October Revolution in Russian introduced Marxism-Leninism to Chinese people. Mao Zedong and other advanced Chinese members gradually became Marxist. Mao Zedong had experienced the ideological transformation from idealism and dualism to Marxism and formed his own view of Marxism. The main contents are as following.Firstly, Marxism is a scientific system as well as the result concluded by Marx and Engels after their application to practice. Also, it can be examined by practicing. The Marxism is the crystallized product absorbed all the advanced cultural result of human-beings. In addition, Marxism is our thought weapon and we should treat it as the tool for Chinese revolution.What is more, Marxism is a belief, and also the action guidance. During the process of exploring the way to save the nation and people, Mao Zedong had experienced various difficulties and tortuous. It was his firm belief in Marxism that finally led Chinese revolution to victory after experiencing difficulties. Lastly, we have to treat Marxism with scientific attitude.The thought origins for Mao Zedong’s view towards Marxism are varied. Firstly, the Chinese traditional culture, especially the cultural of Hunan, has great impact on Marxism. As the native Hunanese, Mao Zedong adhered to the advanced traditions, and studied for application. His thoughts were fulfilled with dialectical thinking and real learning spirit. What is more, Mao Zengdong’s view towards Marxism was influenced by the enlighten education of ideology and culture of modern western countries. In addition, the Russian culture, especially the Leninism played an indispensable role in Mao Zedong’s thought. The understanding for Marxism came from Lening’s work initially and his view towards Marxism was fulfilled with Russian characteristics. Lastly, the Chinese revolutionary practice had significant impact on the formation of Mao Zedong’s view towards Marxism. Mao realized that people can never treat Marxism as a doctrine, and should combine Marxism with China’s condition and the reality of China’s revolution. Only in this way can China win the revolutionary victory. Under the impact of Yang Changji, Li Dazhao, and Chen Duxiu as well as other advanced members, Mao gradually became the Marxist and the outstanding revolutionary leader. Mao’s view towards Marxism serves as the important clue for us understanding the Mao Zedong thought. Mao’s view towards Marxism set an example for us to scientifically treat the Marxism. Meanwhile it enriched and developed the Marxism theory. By understanding Mao’s view towards Marxism, we realize the importance of practice when learning and applying Marxism theory.
