Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of information technology, modern warfare has entered the information age, and the communication system of warfare is one of the most important part of information technology. How to use modern digital technology and computer visualization techniques to arm troops and enhance fighting,changing the delivery methods of battlefield information and sharing information has become the hot spot of digital battlefield communications.The traditional realistic three-dimensional simulation technology not only poor and inefficient, has been difficult to meet modern warfare real-time, variability and other requirements. This paper relies on modern graphics technology, made a lot of improvements and optimization methods. Data source of this paper is provided by a number of research institutes involved in this research of this topic, and the main work of this paper is related to real-time simulation based on these data to build a digital communications system model and simulate the main modul communication system dnamicly combined with a variety of three-dimensional visualization technology. The main contents include communication entity modeling, communication transmission simulation based particle system, two-dimensional dynamic plotting. For some of these key technologies do some in-depth study and practice, and make the corresponding optimization, not only enhances the realism, with a corresponding increase in rendering efficiency. In detail,include the following aspects:(1) Three-dimensional modeling of battlefield communications entities and dynamic simulation:According to the actual needs, propose a simplified method of communication to build communication entity, and radar station as an example detailing the build process. This paper use hardware acceleration technology to simulate simulate the operational status of typical digital battlefield communication entities(such as radar station, AWACS, ship) dynamically, Compared with the traditional CPU rendering efficiency has been greatly improved.(2) Communication link based on particle system simulationTraditional communication link simulation technology is n less realistic, this paper propose a new method that use particle system to simulate real-time status ofthe communication link of different battlefield communications entities. However, due to the particle system in dealing with massive particles is less efficient, the paper use hardware acceleration(GPU) to made the corresponding optimization on efficiency, not only enhance the realism, but also improving efficiency.(3) Situation plotting of digital battlefield communications:According to the data transmitted over the network, using the tradit technology such as billborad technology to plot the various battlefield communication entities’ name and the related indicator arrows of signal transmission,and do some research about three-dimensional communication trend plotting,providing a more intuitive display.This paper focuses on the discussion and research of digitized battlefield communications system simulation technology.
