In the military network, especially the tactical communication network simulation, the movement speed and position states of combat target are constantly changing, in order to meet the requirements of network simulation. If we set all the states of the operation object before modeling that is not desirable. Network simulation scenarios can not image. So the network simulation software need the interface that to interact with the users. Then through the interactive communication with simulation users,we can communicate better with the simulation user to simulation a closely real network that topology changes and parameter modification.In the large-scale network simulation, tactical control plays an important role, which set the parameter and modify the simulation properties of the battle object.Before the HLA standard was published, the simulation system is needed in the interior design of distributed network management and operation.In determining a new simulation system structure, communication simulation system using the communication mechanism that based on HLA structure, the old and new simulation system are different in communication.This paper studies the principle of hardware in loop simulation method and the working principle and application of HLA interface module of a new generation of simulation software OPNET. The thesis provides the theory support to realize the original simulation system joint to the new system of the HLA architecture..Finally, in order to verify the theory and method, this paper realizes the simulation system console program that non-based on HLA standard interactive OPNET simulation battle scene of HLA standard.In order to realize the interactive communication of two kinds of heterogeneous system, designed a special federal member make it become the conversion of information interaction between the console program and the OPNET simulation federate.The communication of the console application which written in VC++6 environment and the "transition" federate is realized based on asynchronous communication mechanism of socket. The interaction of the OPNET simulation federate and "transition" federate is designed by the standard framework of the HLA.
