Research On International Communication Of Chinese Religions

Religion has a centuries-old history and a great number of followers. Since the end of the cold war, religion had terminated "Westphalia exile", which has become a hot word in international politics once again; at the same time, the rapid recovery and development of Chinese religion is also striking. With the process of reforming and opening up, "international communication of Chinese religion"(ICCR) is increasing year after year. It is worth researching how the communication can be carried out more effectively to create conducive international environment for China’s peaceful development.By means of principal-government theory and new public diplomacy theory, this thesis intends to get recommendations to improve the patterns of ICCR throughout reviewing the process since 1949 and comparing the background, the subjects, the objects and the forms of each historical stages to analyze the weak links and shortcomings.This thesis is divided into six parts.Part I begins as an introduction.Part II construct an analytical framework of defining background, the subjects, the objects and the forms as the four index. Part III and Part IV is designed to detail analyze the activities in four indicator in each historical stages in china after 1949. Part V focus on analyzing the shortcomings in existing ICCR.Part VI raises up pertinence suqqestion on policy with furthermore conclusion on ICCR.
