The Analysis Of Construction Of Guizhou Multi-ethnic Demonstration Community From The Perspective Of Ethnic Identity

Ethnic identity refers to the cultural proximity and identification between different ethnic groups at different cultural background. The relationship between ethnic groups tends to be integrated and harmonious which can be reflected in forms of ethnic cohabitation, ethnic intermarriage, ethnic respect,and ethnic communication. The construction of multiethnic demonstration community involves four asperts: economic prosperity, mutual trust in politics, cultural exchange and social stability. The enhancement of ethnic identity and unity is beneficial to the further construction of multi-ethnic demonstration community.Firstly, this paper mainly discusses the importance of ethnic identity towards the construction of multi-ethnic demonstration community: to enhance and promote the economic exchange, the political mutual trust, cultural interaction and harmonious multi-ethnic relationship.Further, this paper introduces and discusses the current problems exist in and positive attitudes towards the construction of multi-ethnic demonstration community of Guizhou province,in terms of ethnic cohabitation,ethnic intermarriage, mutual respect and mutual confidence among ethnic groups. Take the Qian’nan autonomous prefecture for example, the phenomena of ethnic cohabitation, ethnic intermarriage, mutual respect and communication among multi-ethnic groups, have been common and recognized by Han,Miao,and Buyi ethnic groups. However, it is considered that the increase in conflicts or the wider gap between ethnic groups as well as the rise of national egoism, which may result in the deconstruction of ethnic identity and more seriously, pose negative effects on the emotional construction of multi-ethnic demonstration community. Based on the analysis of this paper, the main factors that affect ethnic identity include the seriousness of ethnic group separation, ethnic group discrimination, ethnic group conflict conditions, and the atmosphere of macro-policy.Last but not least, this paper puts forward that the enhancing the ethnic social interaction by implementing economic exchange,promoting political identity by the realization of political mutual trust, advancing the cultural identity by practicing cultural exchange, andoptimizing the ethnic identity by the introduction of sound macro policy may greatly help to attain the objectives: economic property, political mutual trust,cultural exchange and interaction and social stability,that required by the construction of multiethnic demonstration community.
