The Legal Regulation Of Freedom Of Speech On The Internet In Our Country

With the rapid development and popularization of network, the citizens’ freedom of speech has been an unprecedented expansion, people in the internet can not only be arbitrary to vent emotions, but also can express their opinions and ideas freely.Here in the internet, everyone is equal, regardless of status, regardless of the gap between rich and poor, everyone is free to speak up. Network for its openness and autonomy compare to the traditional form of speech can give great platform for free speech, however, it can also cause a lot of problems. The right of free speech often clashed with other citizens’ basic rights and public power,While we are joyful for the vitality of the age of internet,we also have to face the huge impact it brings. How to protect and regulate the freedom of speech on the internet became the task of every countries’ government.This paper mainly discuss the freedom of speech under the network environment through four parts. The first part is an simple introduction of the concept,characteristics and value of free speech on the internet. The second part studies the other countries’ work in the regulation of network’s free speech and our country’s related situation, and puts forward the enlightenment to our country. The third part expounds the current situations in the plight of the free speech under the network environment. The fourth part puts forward the suggestions for consummating our country’s freedom of speech on the internet.
