In recent years, for 3D printing technology is developing rapidly, great attention turns to it worldwide. The use of the technology is widespread, which is connected with many aspects of our lives, such as industrial manufacturing, biological and medical, food manufacturing, and etc.. Its influence is growing in response to its maturing and wide use. But what shall be noticed is that the technology may bring not only convenience but also negative influence. For two reasons, research in the field of security administration is still not sufficient, on one hand is that scholars have not been aware of the technology`s threat in the field of security administration yet; on the other hand is that scholars have confidence in the current security administration system, which is deemed as safe enough to cope with the threat of the technology. In fact, 3D printing technology will impact security administration in near future, at the same time, the current system of security administration can`t effectively deal with these potential negative influence. Hence, in order to stabilize the security administration, solutions shall be taken in advance, which are the introduction of new measures and making of new regulations. The necessity of the taking of measures will be discussed and some advice will be given, and this thesis is divided into three chapters:Background information is introduced in the first chapter, i.e., the concept, procedure, application, administration related features. 3D printing technology is an advanced manufacturing technology which gathers achievements in many fields. In the procedure of manufacturing, after the digital models are provided by users, instruments will produce objects by stacking materials. The producing procedure is divided into the making of digital models and molding. Attention shall be paid to the following administration related features, the first one is that the negative influence of the technology will make the administration much more complicated; the second one is that the low threshold may lead to fast popularization, and which may magnify the technology`s security administration related risks; the third one is that the technology is more mature than imaged and which is popularized by countries, whose security administration related risks are urgent; the last one is that the utilization of the technology will obscure the boundaries between the real world and the virtual one, administration may be more difficult. The second chapter analyses forms of the negative influence. The main form is the unrestricted circulation of objects bringing security administration related risks. Dangerous objects(guns, explosive, and etc.) and other objects which have connection with special professions are both considered. Compared with other matured area of security administration, administration is absent on the circulation of digital models and instruments, and which can be constructed as risky situations. The third chapter gives four advices on the possible improvement of measures. The main principle is to promote the healthy development of the technology by taking soft measures and orderly administration. Subject of administration shall be multiply, profession association autonomy shall be introduced. In order to improve the effectiveness of the administration, technical measures shall be taken on the circulation of digital models and instruments. On the making and amendment of norms, the coordination of norms is important. From an overall perspective, regulations made by government and professional norms shall be complementary; regulations of security administration and ones of other branch laws shall be coordinated; in the making of professional norms, government shall also give guidance and supervision.
