Application Of Lenin’s Indoctrination Theory In The Cultivation Of Socialist Core Values

Socialist core values are the important parts of Marxist theory which keeps pace with the times. The report of the Eighteenth National People’s Congress of the Communist Party of China takes the system of socialist core values as a necessary task. It requires all the people in our society to cultivate socialist core values and fulfill it actively. As a significant part of Marxist classical theory in ideological and political education, the Indoctrination Theory of Lenin had played an irreplaceable role in the socialist revolution and construction in Russia. With the further development of the reform and opening-up in China and the economic globalization in the world, the social ideology tends to be diversified. During this new historical period, we are in urgent need of integrating the various social ideologies with socialist core values. The distinct purposiveness, objectivity and openness of Indoctrination Theory will be made good use of, while we establish the socialist core values. This paper traces the course of Marx and Engels’ s Indoctrination thoughts, and analyzes the scientific and effective nature of the Indoctrination Theory of Lenin. It also elaborates the scientific connotation and the characteristics of Lenin’s Indoctrination Theory. We can gain some enlightenment from it in order to cultivate the socialist core values. In the meantime, according to the development of the times and the abstract concept of the socialist core values which has put forward by our communist party, this article demonstrates the application of Lenin’s Indoctrination Theory in the cultivation of socialist core values is necessary. With the support of the new media technology, indoctrinating the socialist core values is viable. Cultivating socialist core values is a complicated project, so that we should indoctrinate it from the aspects such as subject, object, content and carrier. We should analyze the reasons scientifically, strengthen the team construction of indoctrination subject’s, distinguish the differences of indoctrination object, broaden indoctrination fields, and bring forth new indoctrination carriers, so that the effectiveness of indoctrinating socialist core values can be improved with the times.
