| Aristotle’s political values, carried by polis, take polis political constitution as its form, have its explanation according to his natural science theory and inspired by interpretation of nature difficulties, so as to have a theoretical summary of Greece polis’ s political constitution, and offer later generations primary inspirations of the original political values. In Aristotle’s natural philosophy, he excludes the accidental possibility of perceptions and interpretations on nature, and maintains the possibility of the choosing act in practice area. polis’ existence is based on natureâ€, and with the support of material causes and formal causes(simplified from four causes) essential explanation on natural substance, polis thus has its dual nature quality: a result of the construction of polis form causes(a place where citizens develop and transform their customs, habits and moral concepts) and formal causes guide for polis construction(the selection of political constitution and systematic security). Under the constraint of dual nature quality, citizens in the polis reach an agreement on the same chase: well being.While with regard to the debate on politics and philosophy, which one fits more to the well being of citizens, Aristotle shows prudence on the tension between the two, and hold mobility in the arrangement of political constitution and system. Polis provides citizens a carrier to express their political views, meanwhile philosophy, contemplates life discreetly, maintain its mystery in the polis public life. A high quality life originates from citizens freedom to express themselves, but whatever they do, they aim to lead a better life. Therefore, hereditary right must be enjoyed by those who represent the interests of the overwhelming majority of citizens. The ruler group takes four types of people’s interest into consideration(people with good virtue, the rich, the poor and the noble), as they are the main components of polis and exercise their power within the constraint of law. |
