Nature And Polis: A New Explanation On Aristotle’s Political Values

Polis provides citizens a carrier to express their political views, meanwhile philosophy, contemplates life discreetly, maintain its mystery in the polis public life. A high quality life originates from citizens freedom to express themselves, but whatever they do, they aim to lead a better life. Therefore, hereditary right must be enjoyed by those who represent the interests of the overwhelming majority of citizens. The ruler group takes four types of people’s interest into consideration(people with good virtue, the rich, the poor and the noble), as they are the main components of polis and exercise their power within the constraint of law.
