Aristotle's Holistic Political View And Its Contemporary Value

In ancient Greece, the core of the political thought of the holistic doctrine was mainly expressed as the standard of the city-state. The holistic political thought is an important idea about the relationship between the city-state and the individual, it emphasizes the supremacy and the integrity of the country, as well as the absolute obedience and devotion of the individual to the country. In the ancient Greek city-state, the city-state is the highest and widest social groups, people's political life, economic life and other aspects of the city-state can be basically satisfied. In short, the city-state is an important basis for the realization of the value of citizens, only through the city-state, citizens is the real meaning of the people. In his lifetime, Aristotle focused on the study of the politics of the city-state, conducted extensive investigation and analysis of the history and current situation of the city-state, and discussed the origin, essence and purpose of the city-state. The core of Aristotle's holistic view of politics is reflected in his research on the politics of the city-state. Therefore, this paper attempts to start from the process of the formation of Aristotle's theory of political integrity, focusing on its core content and derivative value, as well as the important value of contemporary society in China.Introduction. First of all, this paper mainly introduces the reasons for choosing this topic and its significance. Secondly, the specific and detailed research on the subject at home and abroad are reviewed.The first chapter is about the process of formation of Aristotle's holistic political view, we trace back to the background of his view in this part:first, in the era of the ancient Greek city-states politics provides actual material; second, based on Plato's idea of the state, a theory of justice and the ideal of political thought provide academic background. Then, it described in detail the Aristotle's overall political concept process of formation:at first, based on the demonstration of the Greek city-states,we observed and summarized the research; and then, based on the criticism of previous overall philosophy; finally, based on their existing overall philosophy concept.The second chapter is about the core content and evaluation of Aristotle's holistic political view. First of all, the core content of Aristotle's political theory is explained from the two aspects of the holistic-part of the city-state-citizens, the value of the city-state and the value of the citizens. Secondly, it also analyzes the characteristics of Aristotle's holistic view of politics, that is, the mild nature, the pioneering and so on. Third, this paper introduces the derivative value of Aristotle's holistic view of politics, that is, the idea of "active citizen", "the people's sovereignty" and "collectivism".
