Administrative right to know is an indispensable right to the public, belongs to the right to know, and refers to the rights of access to information that the citizens, legal persons and other organizations shall enjoy from administrative organs, organizations authorized by laws and regulations. By the coming information age, information has already become more and more significant, and in our country most of the information is in the hands of government. The public is increasingly aware of the importance of information, which may cause the confrontation between the public and the administrative organs constantly. The current study on administrative right to know in our country is immaturity, and there are many problems, including the definition of administrative right to know is not unified, the constitution of the right is not clear and the system is confused. Based on the historical investigation and comparative study, the thesis offers a clear definition of the concept of administrative right to know, demonstrates the administrative right to know of legal value and tries to comb the confusion situation, which hoping to provides a clarity thought of administrative right to know.This thesis is divided into four chapters to discuss the legal protection of administrative right to know: The first part is the introduction, mainly includes the topic of the background and significance, main contents and methods; The second part introduces the fundamental theory of this right, including the development of right, the definition of the concept, constitution of the right and legal value; The third part is about analyzing the status of the administrative right to know in our country, including the legal protection, the practical situation and the obstacles analysis; the fourth part is reflections on perfecting administrative law guarantees the right to inform, including extraterritorial experience and the perfect proposal on improving legal protection of administrative right to know.
