Research On “The Core Values Of Contemporary Revolutionary Servicemen” In The Recruits

Chairman Xi Jinping pointed out: we should insist on to putting the ideological and political construction in the first place, and arm the recruits with socialist theory system with Chinese characteristics, continuously cultivating the core values of contemporary revolutionary servicemen, and ensuring that our recruits are especially pure, especially qualified and especially strong concerning ideology and politics.The construction of our army is at a new historical starting stage. To build and foster military core values is an important part of carrying forward PLA men`s fine tradition and constructing core socialist values. Because of core values such as the firm faith the loyalty to our people and motherland, etc, our army was able to overcome difficulties and obstacles during the time of war, revolution and construction. Chairman Hu mentioned clearly on the enlarged meeting of the Central Military Commission at the end of 2008, we should strongly foster the core value of “loyal to the party, love the people, serve the country, devoted to missions, advocate honor” on the basis of strengthening the recruits’ spiritual pillar. So they play a very important role. Recruits are a special group in the army. They will undergo hardships in order to transfer from local youth to qualified military members. The job of core value development, as the basis of being a good soldier, should be fully researched in all respects. This is not only the need of building a strong army, constructing the people’s army that emerges victorious in every battle, but also the need of being advanced in core value education in the whole society.Guided by a theory about people’s value which is a part of Marx, the paper carries out quite scientific deep research of cultivating new recruits’ core values through the methods such as materialistic dialectic, literature analysis, logical induction, comparison, and social investigation. Hoping to provide useful reference to push forward ideological and political education for our army.The paper is divided into five parts:Foreword: background of this paper. According to the current actual situation of the recruits’ core values cultivation, all the troops pay highly attention to that, but most troops lack of scientific and standardized way of cultivating. They always promote education according to their own experience, which lead to the random and subjective development of the Current army man’s core value development. The author plans to write about problems on the Current army man’s core values cultivation among recruits, mainly based on the following reasons: first, the basis of an army is the recruits. The recruits are in the initial stage of value formation, it is directly related to army’s construction. Therefore, well research of the recruits’ values establishment is of great significance. Second, the current research on core values is mostly from the general level, the study of specific people is not enough. Besides, true effective value system cultivation is always promoted on the basis of people’s original value system. Third, with the quickening pace of social change, the generation gap between people continuously shortened, which brings change of the thinking method. The existing value cultivating experience can’t support the core values cultivation. Only when continuous tracking and researching could ensured the effect of cultivation. Through research, this paper aims to promote scientific the Current army man’s core values cultivation, and explore effective the Current army man’s core values fostering methods for troops guiding their recruits on the basis of mastering the contemporary recruits’ values. In order to have a definite object in adjusting the direction of the army ideological and political education, trying to integrate the core value cultivation into the army culture, and making every new recruit realize the important role the core value plays in the realization of their individual value, so that the Current army man’s core values can be regarded as a basic content of the recruits’ daily learning. And finally, effectively promote the army to implement the missions of “follow the direction, serve the people, be brave and skillful in battle”, and provide service to meet the needs of the party, state and military construction needs.First:this part summarizes the related definitions of “loyal to the party, love the people, serve the country, devoted to missions, advocate honor” which are parts of current army man’s core values and core socialist values. It also expounds the development process and scientific connotation of the Current army man’s core values, as while as discusses the significance of fostering the Current army man’s core values. There is fundamental significance for dealing with the risks and meeting the challenges,carrying out new historical mission,putting foreword our army`s comprehensive development and construction.Second: because of the diverse sources of recruits, diverse education levels and qualities, the new recruits have diverse values. To know the new recruits’ values is the need to improve and strengthen ideological and political work. It is also very important for sustainable development of our army’s full costruction. This part full and deep analyzes the problems of our new recruits’ development and education,and the reasons why they exist.Third: this part puts forward some thoughts on value cultivation of the recruits’ core values. It expounds how to meet demands of the time and firm ideological stand, how to enrich patterns of education and correct mestic opinion, how to strengthen system construction to execute orders and proclaim prohibitions, how to know national conditions and strengthen the sense of mission.Finally: by studying of this paper. The paper is aimed at putting foreword scientific current military core values and exploring and forming a set of method to use in developing new recruits’ core values which base on the know of new recruits’ values, so as to adjust ideological and political education with a purpose and include the current military core values into military culture.
