Research On The Crime Of Sexual Abuse Against Young Girls

The sexual assault against young girls’ crime is a crime which performs rape,obscene and other sexual abuse behaviors to young girls less than 14 years old. This kind of crime brings irreparable damages to victims physically and psychologically,casts a shadow on the victims’ families and also cause a series of social safety problems, which has tremendous harmfulness. Sexual assault against young girls’ crime presents many different characteristics when compared with other crimes in the aspects of offenders, victim and criminal regularities, for example, most of criminals are middle-aged with low educational level; criminals have a familiar relationship with victims; young girls at every age level may be sexually abused even infants;left-behind children in rural areas are vulnerable groups at high risk; large quantity of victims involved in the crime and serious phenomenon of being hurt by many times;most crimes are made in the daytime and crime rate in summer season is higher than other seasons etc. At present, most of researches on the sexual assault against young girls’ crimes are starting from single perspective of criminal law and criminology,while victims, as the important part in crimes, the function of their self-possessed victimity in crime should not be neglected. Therefore, it is with more realistic meaning in the analysis of reasons for the frequent cases of sexual abuse of young girls with the combination of victim theory and criminology. Main reasons for the above crime characteristics include: individual internal factors of criminal; victimity of victim girl herself, which is susceptibility, induction and tolerance ability. These internal factors have certain catalytic function to crimes in different aspects; the weakness of home supervision and external supervision provides opportunities to criminals and criminals usually make crimes by taking advantage of the vacancy of supervision on young girls from home and school; the missing of sexual education to young girls makes them do not know how to defend for themselves during violence;bad social atmosphere, oversight of security management and other factors also cause the happening of crime. It is imperative to take countermeasures, for example,professional remedy and effective transformation need to made to improve behavior of criminals; take different methods to make sexual education to young girls at different ages and improve their crime prevention ability and awareness; strengthen home supervision on young girls and enhancing alertness of parents on the abnormal behavior of children; improve regulatory system of school to students and teachers and open report method for students, improve recruitment standard of teacher, prevent outsiders entering school for crime; improve protection and assistance measures of society for young girls, mobilize the power of social communities and government to fight against crime and control crime from various angles of law protection, city construction, population census and public opinion etc; set up professional psychological counseling team to provide timely psychological counseling and treatment and strengthen assistance to victim young girls. Preventing sexual abuse of young girls is a long and hard task, which needs to mobilize all the social forces working together to create a healthy and safe growing environment for young girls.
