The paper is dedicated to a comparative study which is about similarities and differences between the Chinese dream and the American dream, and it is divided into five chapters.The first chapter: introduction. This chapter is mainly elaborated domestic and foreign research review, existing problems, significance of topic selection and research methods.The second chapter: This chapter is about the historical origins of the Chinese dream and the American dream. The Chinese dream faced the problem of modernization, and the American dream encountered the crisis of modernization. Both of them reflect the optimistic and enterprising, changeable and original, realistic and pragmatic spirit.The third chapter: This chapter is about the philosophical foundation of the Chinese dream and the American dream. On the world view, the Chinese dream and the American dream emphasize the reality, but the former is a thorough materialism, and the latter is eclecticism.The fourth chapter: This chapter is about the system of the Chinese dream and the American dream.
