Cooperative air defense combat has gradually become the dominant mode in the modern air defense battlefield as a mode of combat adapting to the form of information war. Task assignment is the core content of the command decision system. How to mobilize the air defense resource in the different platform and enable maximum performance of the whole combat system is the key to win the air defense battle. In this paper, task assignment technique was studied on the back ground of modern air defense combat. Finally, a cooperative task assignment method of air defense that can meet the demand of command and decision in rationality and real-time is given. Main work of this paper is as follows:First, the problem of cooperative task allocation in multi-platform air defense is described and the corresponding model is built. The model of target missile threat and the platform combat ability are established. Considering the constraints in four aspects: the feasibility of target intercepting, the constraints of fire units, the constraints of cooperative guiding and the time window. The model not only considers the demand of cooperative guiding in the cooperative combat, but also considers the dynamic characters of targets.Then, the problem of target tracking and orbit prediction is researched on. It’s the foundation of task assignment in air defense, and its precision is directly related to the rationality of task assignment.The model of target tracking in reentry phase is built. The target tracking is proceeded using the method of Extended Kalman Filter(EKF) and the orbit prediction is conducted employing the method of elliptic orbit and Runge-Kutta.The launch time and mode is arranged on the basis of the orbit prediction with the constraint of time window.At last, the method of cooperative task allocation in multi-platform air defense is proposed. The command decision system adopts a control structure of “limited centralized command-distributed autonomous coordination”. The system model is built based on Model Predictive Control(MPC). In the central command level, the command center preliminary screens the target according the orbit prediction, and makes the necessary interfere in emergency. In the platform level, each platform adopts the method based on heuristic method to make the centralized task assignment of resource in the platform. Platforms adopts a decentralized auction based on consensus method to conflict resolution. After the coordinated communication, each platform gets the uniform list of task allocation. This method can reduce the amount of information processing and avoid the single point of failure. The results of simulation demonstrates this method can get decent results of task assignment in real-time which can meet the demand of air defense command control system.
