The Research On The Han Dynasty Military Defense System To The Huns Through The Slips Of Hexi

The main theme of Han dynasties is the game of Han and The huns,which highlights the importance of the Hexi District ~s advantageous location. But the traditional history books only focus on two battles of the Hexi, while ignoring the Han dynasties construct its own military defense system after the control of the Hexi. Based on the organizat ion, system, the thesis is divided into four chapter, discussing the milit ary defense system of the Han dynasties. the first chapter expounds the game of Han and The huns on the military in Hexi area, involving the conditons under the control of The huns, the prcocess of the Han dynasties~s counterattack,which show the changes of strengths in Hexi between Han and The huns;the second chapter introduces the Han~s military organizat ions about fuor counties、two checkpoints、vassal states、han walls;the third chapter discusses the functions of Han~s military system from the Laws, bureaucracy,military installat ions,logist ics,the postal system.the fourth chapter estimates the influences of Hexi m ilitary defense system.In general, the Han~s military defense system in Hexi is complete, it not only isolates qiang hu and the huns, relieving the the huns~s invasion,but also promotes the agriculture developm ent in Hexi and ensures the security of the Silk Road.
