Chinese traditional laws’ culture connotation is rich. Although many specific systems have disappeared, the legal thought of it still indelible. Instead still has a great guiding significance for today’s construction of law rules and the development of legal thought. It should be a important wealth to the local resources. "Ming xing bi jiao" is an important legal thought in Chinese history.It is a dynamic thought system. From Xia to Qing, it was constantly evolved, and in the Ming Dynasty, "Ming da gao " is finished. Overall, "Ming xing bi jiao" did not depart from the traditional Chinese legal thought system, but there is a great significance to study the differences and practices which based on the "Ming da gao ".This article is based on the idea of "Ming xing bi jiao" in the "Ming da gao ". In the first part of passage, the author combed the origin, and development of "Ming xing bi jiao" and the connotation after the Ming Dynasty established. On the one hand, summarized and combed the traditional legal thought “Tian fa” to “De zhu xing fu” of dynasties before Ming Dynasty. The author also introduced the new interpretation of Zhu Xi to "Ming xing bi jiao", and did a comparison to Qiu Jun’s research; On the other hand, discussed Zhu Yuanzhang’s thought in "Ming xing bi jiao" from the background, theoretical basis, main content and characteristics of innovation and so on aspects. In the second part, deepen the "Ming xing bi jiao" by "Ming da gao ".First, introduced the promulgation and implementation of "Ming da gao ", including the cause,compiling characteristics of enacted and specific implementation.Then discussed Zhu Yuanzhang’s doctrine of severe punishment. Finally interpreted the evolution of the concept of enlightenment and its reflected in the "Ming da gao ". In the third part, studied of a modern perspective. In this section, analyzed the "Ming da gao " from the construction of legal system, justice and legal supervision and the law popularization. The author studied some key concepts and features of the system, trying to explore the significance of the modern rule of law.
