The Historical Process And Philosophical Analysis On Development Thought Of Contemporary China

Development is not only a global problem but also the ultimate reality of China. Thought of development, which studies the problems of development entirely, is the key to understand the ultimate reality. The proposition of’Five Development Ideas’like innovation, coordination, greenization, openness and sharing, is the symbol that the development thought of contemporary China is stepping into a new era. Generalizing the historical process and historical thread of the development thought on contemporary China, summarizing the experience of it and making use of Karl Marx’s philosophy to analyze it will do good to carrying out the ’Five Development Ideas’, updating the thought of development and achieving the success of the ’13th Five-year Plan’.The philosophic word ’development’ is a multidimensional process of dialectical negation, which is directional, tortuous, valuable, successive and interim. There are two threads of its evolution, one studies the inner reasons of modernization, which contains several stages like ’progressive theory’ ’social-wide theory’,’cultural-revolution theory’ and ’sustainable development theory’ The other one pays more attention to the relations between the developed countries and the developing ones, which contains several stages like’modernization theory’ ’dependency theory’,’world system theory’,’Washington Consensus’ and ’civilized conflict theory’. The development theories of the post-war west have many drawbacks. Marxist concept of development can be devided into ’value theory’,’dynamic theory’ ’system theory’ and ’practice theory’. It is superior to the development theories of the post-war west in inter-action practice. Development thought of contemporary China contains stages like ’surpassing stage’,’absolute-principle stage’,’three-civilizations stage’ and ’man-oriented stage’. The latest one is the ’Four all-sidedness strategy’ and ’Five Development Ideas’, which are different from that of the west. There is a clear thread of the development thought of contemporary China in goal, method and dynamic, especially reflected on the relations between ’efficiency and fairness’,’government and market’,’independency and opening up’. The evolution of the development thought of contemporary China follows the discipline between development practice and development thought in epistemology, methodology and axiology. It has unique dynamic system:the direct dynamic is the need of people, the ultimate dynamic is the progress of practice, the subjective dynamic is the self-consciousness of Chinese Communist and the environmental dynamic is the change of national and international environment. The experience and lessons claim that the latest development thought have to better understanding national conditions, absorbing the rational core of development theories of the west and bring new ideas to the Marxist development philosophy. Only in this way can advantages of socialism be exerted and all-round development be realized.
