In addition, recreational sports can meet their need of the passion anddesire of sports in order to embody their values and exploit their ability, in terms of thestress of employment, study and economy.Thirdly, the extracurricular activities of the undergraduates in Shandong provinceexist huge in gender. In the spare time, boys are more likely to participate in sports thangirls in college. It plays an essential role to organize undergraduates to take part in therecreational exercise, such as sports clubs and sports association and so on.Fourthly, there are flexibility and diversity in participating in the recreational sports.And half of the undergraduates are temporary to take part in the sports. However itoccupies5.76%to attend in the name of individuals. Moreover, the proportion of havingexercise via clubs is11.4%and it is13.38%via associations. What’s more, undergraduatesin Shandong province have certain capacity for physical consumption. The undergraduateswho consume from500to1000yuan occupy26.75%while20.61%of them consume,more than1000yuan recreational sports.Fifthly, the favorite recreational sorts of the current gymnastics, volleyball, running,football, going climbing, martial arts and table tennis and so on in turn. And the boys arefavor of the furious and aggressive activities like badminton, swimming, tennis, basketballand football in turn. While the girls prefer graceful and elegant activities like badminton,gymnastics, volleyball, running and swimming in turn. Sixthly, the undergraduates have higher expected value for leisure sports. Lackingfacilities and the limit of open time cause the main factors of the dissatisfaction ofgymnasium. In addition, the universities lack mentors who aimed at directing recreationalsports, which results in the big gap of directing.Seventhly, there are a lot of factors that limit the development of recreational sports inShandong province, such as the unreasonable set of the physical curriculum, the scarcesupport of the nation, the lack of sports facilities and the invalid direction and so on.However, the current recreational sports of the undergraduates have various chances ofdeveloping with the rapid development of social economy, the requirement of theundergraduates, the improvement of PE, and the emphasis of each departments of physicaleducation and so on.
